Patricia Merrikin
has an MA in Library and Information Science and an MSc in Agricultural Development, both from the
University of London. She has been working as reference librarian at the David Lubin Memorial Library
for the past 12 years.
Jessica Mathewson
earned her Masters of Science in Library Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (USA)
in 1999. She has worked as a reference librarian at Duke University in North Carolina and at the American
Foundation for the Blind in New York City. She has been working as a librarian at the Food and Agriculture
Organization of the UN since 2002. Her favorite things about her current job are being able to practice her
Italian and working with people in an international, multi-cultural environment.
Her favorite reference question? Any question that requires going down into the stacks to peer at the pages
of musty old books!
